Washington Post
"President Biden urged Democrats on Wednesday to swiftly pass his domestic agenda after an off-year electoral wipeout highlighted the fragile state of the party’s electoral majorities in the House and Senate. But a new round of bitter recriminations threatened to dash Democratic hopes of quickly moving past the stinging defeats.

From Virginia’s Tidewater region to the Philadelphia suburbs to Long Island, voters on Tuesday issued an unmistakable repudiation of the Democratic Party that was wider and deeper than even some of its more pessimistic tacticians were anticipating.

Scrambling to make sense of the election results, White House officials and Democratic congressional leaders said they concluded that voters were unhappy with their incomplete push to spend trillions of dollars on public works, the social safety net and combating climate change. These Democrats said there is now a clear incentive to accelerate their work. "

and then some aren't so bright...

It's a little less than a "unmistakable repudiation of the Democratic Party".

The VA republican's ran on every day social issues. Imagine that.

Schooling,
Taxes,
Economics.

Either party had that opportunity to craft the winning message. The Republicans, especially the governor-elect, did so perfectly hitting all the right notes with the suburban crowds that carried him.

It was there for the taking. Oh, and most of the newly elected top leadership are not carrying or cratering to the political baggage of the past! Another wise campaign move.

If your IFs and BUTs .. we're Candy and Nuts .. everyday would be Christmas.

Virginia, New Jersey, Minneapolis, Texas, etc. elections / referendums .. were clearly an "unmistakable repudiation of the Democratic Party" the Biden agenda, and defunding police.

You just keep thinking that way. The Biden "agenda" as you listed..is fear strategy from the extreme right wing.

Like I said, VA, more social home based issues than you can imagine. If anything related to the Biden "agenda" it was lack of action on it, in parts.

McAuliff .. aligned himself with Biden and "The Agenda", Obama, S. Abrams (stolen election?), and other "big govt. is better" loons.

Youngkin .. aligned himself with the issues and values important to normal folks.

Guess who was right.

It's already obvious that the Democrats are oblivious .. to what happened and will double down on Biden's agenda.

"is fear strategy from the extreme right wing."

You demonstrate exactly how the left .. tries to chill conservative speech.

You demonstrate exactly how the far right amplifies the rhetoric on issues related to conservative speech.

McAuliff did not align himself....that's who he is.

Youngkin is brand new, no baggage there. Heck, if he was an independent he still probably would have won.

You're right, that's who he is, big government, big brother telling parents it's none of their business what's taught just like biden and leftist wackos. It's not what VA or most Americans working want.
