In NC the Republican controlled legislature in compliance with the latest Census Numbers redrew the voting districts. The problem being with the new map was that it was viewed by many as being a Gerrymandered piece of art work instead of a Voting District Map.

A court challenged was raised stating the Map was not a true representation of voters in a specific area, but a Gerrymandered work of Art.

The case was heard by a Republican three judge Court. Look what they ruled, which resulted in an appeal to the State Supreme Court.

"The court’s decision reversed a ruling last month from a panel of three trial judges that let the maps stand, and declared partisan gerrymandering found in the redistricting approved by the legislature in November violated several provisions in the North Carolina Constitution. They include the right to free elections, freedom of speech and equal protections of citizens."

Violated several provisions in the NC Constitution, yet they let the Gerrymandered Map stand as the Official Voting District Map for NC.

The NC Supreme Court threw the Map Out.

"Gerrymandering––like the Ku Klux Klan, segregation of the Armed Forces, ending of Reconstruction, Jim Crow, current-day voting restrictions, and the list goes on––are all creations of, you guessed it, the Democrat Party. "

Wrong.... The Democratic Republican Party was the first to employ gerrymandering. The voting district they created looked like a mythological salamander. and that is what prompted people to start calling such action, GERRYMEANDERING.

Facts and Truth are stranger than fiction.

"The word gerrymander (originally written Gerry-mander; a portmanteau of the name Gerry and the animal salamander) was used for the first time in the Boston Gazette (1803–16)—not to be confused with the original Boston Gazette (1719–1798)—on 26 March 1812 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The word was created in reaction to a redrawing of Massachusetts Senate election districts under Governor Elbridge Gerry, later Vice President of the United States. Gerry, who personally disapproved of the practice, signed a bill that redistricted Massachusetts for the benefit of the Democratic-Republican Party. When mapped, one of the contorted districts in the Boston area was said to resemble a mythological salamander.[9] Appearing with the term, and helping spread and sustain its popularity, was a political cartoon depicting a strange animal with claws, wings and a dragon-like head that supposedly resembled the oddly shaped district. "

When looking at the above created voting district, pause and think this was done in the 1800's. Way before the day of computers and Algorithms. It is almost beyond comprehension that they were able to accomplish and achieve such and serves to illustrate the extremes some will go to to insure what they deem to be the proper outcome of the right candidate winning an election.

The truth and facts triggered him again.
Nope .. laughing at a .. Dumbass ...

"The word "gerrymander" originated when the Boston Gazette published a political cartoon depicting a newly drawn serpent-like district in Massachusetts by Jeffersonian Republicans, formally known today as the Democrat Party. The man who signed off on this politicalized map (although admittedly reluctant) was the then governor of the commonwealth and future fifth vice president of the United States, a man by the name Eldridge Gerry. Oppositionists in the press quickly reacted and labeled the political move "The Gerry Mander," a play on the governor's last name and the shape of the newly created district that resembled a salamander. This name lives on till this day."

He saw the word Republican in the Democrat Republican Party AKA The Jeffersonian Republican Party .. and thought he had something.

Unfortunately .. for Dumbass .. the "Democrat Republican Party AKA The Jeffersonian Republican Party " became the modern Democrat Party.

So ... "Gerrymandering––like the Ku Klux Klan, segregation of the Armed Forces, ending of Reconstruction, Jim Crow, current-day voting restrictions, and the list goes on––are all creations of, you guessed it, the Democrat Party. " ... for the WIN.

Nope I saw Elbridge Gerry the man who refused to sign the US Constitution, not Jefferson. Gerry is also the man that ran as a Democratic Republican and was elected Vice President of the United States. He served as James Madison Vice President. Not as a Democrat But as a Democratic Republican.

James Madison and Thomas Jefferson founded the Democratic Republican Party.

“Besides creating the basic outline for the U.S. Constitution, James Madison was one of the authors of the Federalist papers. As secretary of state under Pres. Thomas Jefferson, he oversaw the Louisiana Purchase. He and Jefferson founded the Democratic-Republican Party.”

“The Democratic-Republican Party, also referred to as the Jeffersonian Republican Party and known at the time under various other names, was an American political party founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in the early 1790s that championed republicanism, agrarianism, political equality, and expansionism.”

The Democrat Republican part was formed by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. The party was also known as the Jeffersonian Republicans and finally became the modern Democrat Party.

"The Democratic-Republican Party, also referred to as the Jeffersonian Republican Party and known at the time under various other names,[a] was an American political party founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in the early 1790s that championed republicanism, agrarianism, political equality, and expansionism. The party became increasingly dominant after the 1800 elections as the opposing Federalist Party collapsed. The Democratic-Republicans later splintered during the 1824 presidential election. The majority faction of the Democratic-Republicans eventually coalesced into the modern Democratic Party, while the minority faction ultimately formed the core of what became the Whig Party"

Elbridge Gerry (not Getty) was VP .. serving under James Madison.
