But it is the recommended way to properly dispose of a American Flag that has been taken out of service.

"According to the U.S. Flag Code, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning”

US Flag Code:

Gator, you know d amn well "that" is NOT the proper way to handle a flag that is being put out of service . . . that just pisses me off!

Yep former Service Man. Fact is I had the honor one time of being the right gun bearer on ceremonial Flag Presentations. One of the interesting things about that assignment was the fact we all had to purchase long legged khaki trousers so everyone's bloused boots was uniform. My regular leg length for trousers is 32" had to get a pair with 36" legs. We also could not sit down after putting the uniform on. No wrinkles allowed.

A really fun task is trying to take down and fold a large ceremonial flag during a monsoon without letting Old Glory touch or hit the ground.

Old Glory being used for a good cause.

Which incident are you talking about? 1. The idiotic treasonable burning of the American Flag by some stupid idiot saying it is their God Given right to do what they want to do when they want to do it, like the stupid idiots refusing to wear masks or get a Covid-19 vaccination? Or, 2. The proper disposal method of a American Flag being put out of service in rule number "K" in the US Flag Code?

If you really want to get pissed off. Get pissed off at the stupid idiot with all his/her God given rights that thinks they have the right to do what they want to, when they want to because they are a "I" person and above man's laws and rules and they are the only one that matters regardless of what they do, It is okay and sanctioned by God.

This is a good example of a "I" person for you to vent your pissed off at.

Nope ole garbage mouth 6’3” jump weight 180 pounds. I wasn’t in the Air Force.
Then why didn't you condemn the flag being burned post that I made? Is it due to me not kissing the feet of Creepy Joe?

I think I did an excellent job on my feeling for those that burn the American flag in post # 27.

What I posted in post # 17 was the fact and truth. Burning the American Flag is the recommended way to dispose of a American Flag no longer in serviceable use.

I'm surprised that as a former serviceman you believe that's the correct way to honor our flag. We all know that's not how the VFW burns it. Do you think they stomp on it as well while burning it?
I don’t think to many of the VFW crowd would tolerate burning of the Flag and stomping on it because someone felt that was their God given right.

The Johnson vs Texas ruling in 89 was in my opinion wrong. To reaffirm this ruling again after the Congress of the United States passed a Federal Law banning the burning of the American Flag was again wrong.

Obviously. USAF standards were too high for someone like you.
No I had a good paying job with benefits and could see no reason to take a huge drastic pay cut just to join any Branch of Military Service. I was drafted and was walking around on foreign soil wondering if I was ever going to see the US again for the grand princely sum of 85.80 per month.

Had a 1st cousin in the Air Force that was a loadmaster on a 123 that sprayed Agent Orange. He didn't last long after returning to the States.

Enlisted pay for less than 2 to over 6 years of service.

To a loser like you nothing. You say you were in the Air Force which I seriously doubt. All Air Force personnel I have ever met had character and principles, of which you have none. What upset you so? The great and glorious salary a lot of America’s youth gave their lives for or will carry mental scars for the rest of their lives.

You are just a perverted C a m e l h u m p e r.
